Driveways & Parking Lots Built for New England
Evano Asphalt Services has been paving driveways and parking lots across the South Shore for over 15 years. We handle new installations, full replacements, and pavement repairs for homeowners and businesses in Milton, Quincy, Braintree, Weymouth, Randolph, and the surrounding towns.
Every job is paved with hot-mix asphalt on a properly graded base, so the finished surface holds up to heavy use and Massachusetts freeze-thaw winters.
- Residential driveways and walkways
- Commercial parking lots and access roads
- Full replacements and resurfacing
- Patch and repair work for existing pavement
How a Driveway Comes Together
A driveway that lasts starts with the prep work you do not see. Here is how we approach a typical paving project.
Site Assessment
We walk the property, measure the area, and look at drainage, slope, and the condition of any existing surface. You get a clear quote with no surprises.
Excavation & Grading
We remove the old surface or topsoil and grade the area so water runs off the way it should. Proper grading is what prevents standing water and cracks later.
Base & Compaction
We install a stone base and compact it in layers. The base is what carries the weight of cars and trucks and keeps the asphalt from settling unevenly.
Paving & Cleanup
We lay hot-mix asphalt at the right temperature, compact it to the correct density, and clean up the site. We will walk you through care instructions before we leave.
Materials We Use
Every paving job we do is finished with hot-mix asphalt, the industry standard for residential and commercial driveways in Massachusetts. The mix is designed to flex with temperature changes, which matters in New England where freeze-thaw cycles can break down lower-grade materials.
Underneath that, we build a compacted aggregate base. The depth depends on the job: a typical residential driveway needs a different base than a parking lot built to handle delivery trucks. We size it to the project, not the other way around.
Why South Shore Homeowners Choose Us
Asphalt work is not glamorous, but it is the kind of trade where attention to detail decides whether a driveway lasts 5 years or 25. A few things customers tell us they appreciate:
- Honest assessments. If a repair or overlay is the right call instead of a full replacement, we will tell you. We do not upsell.
- Weather-aware scheduling. Hot-mix asphalt needs the right temperature to set properly. We work within the season — typically late spring through early fall in Massachusetts — and we communicate clearly if weather pushes a job.
- Licensed and insured. We carry liability and workers' compensation coverage. Your property and our crew are both protected on every job.
- Family-trained craft. The owner learned this trade hands-on, and that standard runs through every job we take on.
Service Area
We are based in Milton, MA and most of our paving projects are within the South Shore region. Common service towns include Quincy, Braintree, Weymouth, Randolph, Milton, Canton, Dedham, and Hingham. If you are nearby, give us a call to confirm.
Paving Questions, Answered
A few of the things homeowners ask us most often about asphalt work.
How long does a residential driveway take to install?
Most residential driveways are completed in 1 to 3 working days, depending on size and how much prep is needed. We will give you a clear timeline at the estimate so you can plan around the work.
When can I drive on new asphalt?
We recommend waiting at least 2 to 3 days for regular vehicles and 5 to 7 days for heavier trucks. In hot weather, the asphalt may take a little longer to cure fully. We will give you specific care instructions before we leave the site.
What is the best time of year to pave?
Late spring through early fall is ideal in Massachusetts. We need temperatures consistently above 50°F for the hot-mix to compact and set properly. We start booking the spring schedule early — reach out ahead of season if you want a preferred date.
Do I need to replace my driveway, or can it be repaired?
It depends on the condition. If the base is still solid and the surface has isolated cracks or potholes, patching or an overlay may make sense. If the base has failed or cracks run deep across the whole surface, replacement is usually the better long-term call. We give you an honest read at the estimate.
How long does a new asphalt driveway last?
A well-installed, properly sealed asphalt driveway typically lasts 20 to 30 years in New England. Sealcoating every 2 to 3 years and addressing small cracks early extends that significantly.
